For those of you that don't know, The Rock Church is in revival with Bro. Marks. Every service has been a life changing experience and has truly opened my eyes to the revival that God is calling us to. The first service, Bro. Marks said this is going to be a revival where backsliders come home, hundreds of lost people that are hungry and searching are going to come to TRC, and that God was going to use the saints of TRC to fulfill this revival. Well, my prayer has always been that God would lead me to hungry, searching people but this revival I have prayed it with a much greater passion and burden than before!
On Monday of this week I started a second job at the SCC bookstore. I was very excited because I love working with and meeting new people. I was also excited cause what a great opportunity this would be to witness and invite people to church! I began praying harder that God would use me to witness to people. Well God sure has answered my prayer!......every single day this week someone has asked me something about church!! And I'm not even the one to initiate the conversation about church all the time, they usually start it! And the conversation usually starts by them noticing something different about me (my hair, the way I dress, no makeup etc....). So young ladies, know that YOU are a witness simply by living a holy life and dressing holy and being separate from the world =) Anyways, there are two guys that I have really been talking to about church and have been able to practically give them a Bible study on the job while we work!! One is coming to church Sunday night and I'm working on the other one ;) But we sure did have a good talk today!
I am so excited to be a part of what God is doing! Lets make sure we are ready for what God has in store for this revival! Lets back up Bro. Marks. Lets knock doors! Lets call backsliders! Witness to someone everyday! Lets prepare! Stay prayed up! And be united! There is something great going on right now and I plan to be right in the middle! How about you???? =D

Happy New Year!!

While looking back over the past year I stop and think about how far I have come from the beginning of 2008 to where I am now....Like so many, I ask myself...What have I accomplished? Am I closer to God now then at the beginning of this year? What mistakes did I make? What areas have I improved in? Did I accomplish my new year resolutions for 2008? For many, 2008 was a difficult year but now that I look back I realize yes, 2008 was difficult but so many wonderful things occurred that may have been overlooked amidst the struggles. Here is a list a few of the good things that have happened to me this year:
- I am more in love with Jesus than the beginning of this year
- I joined bus ministry and am loving it
- I have "stepped out of my shell" at school and in doing so have been able to witness to others more and have been a brighter light
- I am still in church and loving God despite all the ups and downs of this year
- I have accomplished my educational goals that I had set
- Saved money? well....that's a new years resolution for this year too lol
- Our church has truth and ministry that preaches truth and does not back down!
- I have learned more about myself and many valuable lessons
- I AM HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY =D
Last night for New Years a few of us went downtown to see the first "Sacramento Ball drop." To make a long story short, I left the crowd feeling a sensation of relief to still be alive and joy to be in the church. I can't imagine living a lifestyle with so much filth, regret, hurt, emptiness, and loneliness. Thank God for Jesus =D (The pix up top is from this event)
A few of my New year goals for 2009:
- Draw closer to God. Read Bible and pray EVERY day.
- Win someone to God
- Save money
- Complete pre-req's and co-req's for Nursing
- Do not get on the Internet for pleasure
- Start working out again
- Eat healthier or try too =/
- Be sensitive to people
- Be happy and keep a positive attitude always! SMILE =D
- Become a better person
I wish you all the best in 2009 and can't wait to see what this year has in store for you!
